Samsung reportedly will launch a 12in tablet, likely the Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2, in October. Korean news website the Korea Economic Daily reported that Samsung plans an October release for its debut 12in tablet, rather than unveiling it at IFA, where the firm is expected to launch the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 smartphone and Galaxy Gear smartwatch.
The report didn't reveal much more information about the device, but said that the tablet is likely to use "Samsung Display's LCD panel" that will have a "higher than full HD resolution" screen.
In June it was rumoured that the device will feature a 2560x1600 resolution screen powered by Google's latest Android 4.3 Jelly Bean mobile operating system and an unspecified Intel Atom processor. The Galaxy Note 12.2 probably will be skinned with Samsung's Touchwiz user interface, and as a member of the firm's Galaxy Note family it's likely to launch with stylus focused apps such as S Note and S Planner.
